On a visit to a refreshing pool at Yawi River near Yamai village, Thu 23rd Aug
My local guide, Yaumai was lucky to kill a bandicoot with his bow & arrow, Aug 22nd

Finally the bandicoot is wrapped and put over the fire while I take a join with the local kids into the refreshing pool!
Alas! Time to eat the cooked bandicoot mixed with spices..traditionally, yum!
Komsi the coconut climber helps me with some refreshing kulaus (green coconut)
 to  ease my thirst after a hearty traditional bandicoot meal.
I am given a farewell traditional meal wrapped in bamboos and a cultural sing-sing  on the eve of Thu 23rd Aug
Saying a last goodbye to Yamai village with Kalup being the skipper for the day back to Madang town! Friday 24th Aug
